Fish Oracles
Fish jump in the rapids.
Scales flash.
Summer is ending.
The moon rises.
She opens her eyes.
The water ripples with the moon's reflection, like a shoal of silver fish.
The reflection disperses, and it is fish.
They flip onto their bellies, gold scales shining.
Under the moon, there is the sun on the water.
Under the sun the fish leap for the stars.
