Cirque Conversations VIII: A Juxtaposition of Sentiments

“Fairy tales weren’t intended only for children. Is it befitting of bedtime rhapsodies to tell a child Cinderella’s sisters cut apart their feet to fit inside her shoes? It is light-hearted that at her wedding they were scorned so by the birds that their eyes were plucked out? No happy ending is truly happy for everyone, we define light by shadow.”

“So is it impossible to be completely happy?”

“It is impossible to know joy without sorrow.”
